Lithium tetraborate is a white crystal, soluble in water, weak alkaline aqueous solution. The solubility of the anhydrate in water increases with increasing temperature, for example, the solubility is 2.89g/100mL at 20°C and 5.45g/100mL at 100°C. In addition, lithium tetraborate can also be crystallized in aqueous solution to obtain pentahydrate, trihydrate, monohydrate and other forms, and lose all the crystal water at 300~350 ℃. It is soluble in hydrochloric acid, but poorly soluble in ethanol and other organic solvents.
