There are many kinds of mineral processing technology of spodumene, the following are several common processes:
Flotation method: This is the main mineral processing method of spodumene at present. In the flotation process, after grinding the spodumene, the flotation reagent is added to separate it from other minerals. Flotation reagents can be selected and adjusted according to the nature of the ore and flotation requirements.
Densified medium beneficiation method: mixing spodumene with heavy medium and sorting by heavy medium cyclone. The heavy products become spodumene concentrate after demineralization, and the light products become tailings after demineralization.
Magnetic separation method: because spodumene is a weak magnetic mineral, high gradient magnetic separator and other strong magnetic separation equipment can be used to remove the weak magnetic minerals, so as to select spodumene concentrate.
Combined beneficiation method: A single beneficiation method may be difficult to obtain qualified lithium concentrate, so a combined process can be used for beneficiation, such as flotation-magnetic separation combined process, flotation-gravity separation-magnetic separation combined process.
In practical application, it is necessary to select suitable beneficiation process and equipment according to the specific properties, grade and impurity content of spodumene ore. At the same time, the mineral processing process also need to pay attention to environmental protection and comprehensive utilization of resources.
